Members of Kibbutz Alumim gathered in Tel Aviv to honor Master Sgt. Ran Gvili, who was killed defending his community during the October 7, 2023 attack and whose body remains held in Gaza. The gathering at Beit Ariela near Hostage Square included heartfelt tributes from Gvili's family, who spoke of his bravery and their hope for his return, as well as reflections from former hostage Bar Kuperstein on the importance of solidarity and resilience. The Gvili family emphasized that the ongoing Gaza ceasefire deal should not progress to its next phase until Ran Gvili's body is released. Recent efforts by Hamas and the Red Cross to locate and return his body have resumed, but the family continues to attend weekly gatherings, seeking closure and honoring his sacrifice.
