Unlike in Gaza or Lebanon, where boundaries and threats are clearer, the West Bank requires commanders to oversee vast areas and trust their forces to act independently due to the distances involved. Over recent months, the battalion has conducted several operations, resulting in the arrest of dozens of suspects and the prevention of attacks. The commander noted that the current security environment in the West Bank is markedly different from previous years, with smaller units now able to carry out operations that once required much larger forces, reflecting a shift in the military's approach and capabilities in the region.
