British-Palestinian doctor Rahmeh Aladwan reports being arrested four times in under three months due to social media posts supporting Palestine and opposing Israel. She claims the arrests are politically motivated and amount to harassment, alleging that police acted on repeated complaints from members of the Jewish community. Aladwan is currently under restrictive bail conditions, including a form of house arrest and bans on attending Palestine-related events or posting content deemed to incite hatred or support banned groups, which she denies doing.
Aladwan, a trainee trauma and orthopaedic surgeon, previously faced a 15-month suspension over similar allegations and is under investigation by the General Medical Council. She maintains her innocence regarding accusations of racism or hate speech, while her lawyer argues there is no evidence her posts affected patient safety or her medical practice.
