The head of the United Nations nuclear watchdog, Rafael Grossi, has warned that the standoff with Iran over its highly enriched uranium stockpile and blocked inspections at key nuclear sites is reaching a critical point. Grossi stated that the agency has been unable to access three major Iranian nuclear facilities damaged in recent attacks, and Iran has not provided the required report detailing the status of these sites or the whereabouts of a significant amount of enriched uranium. The lack of transparency raises concerns about potential diversion or concealment of nuclear material, with Grossi cautioning that continued non-cooperation could lead to Iran being declared in non-compliance with its international obligations. Talks to resolve the impasse are expected soon, but Grossi emphasized that the current situation cannot continue indefinitely.
