Narges Mohammadi, recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize, has been sentenced to an additional seven and a half years in prison by a court in Mashhad, Iran. The charges include six years for alleged assembly and collusion, and one and a half years for propaganda activities. Mohammadi was arrested in December after making remarks at a memorial ceremony, which authorities deemed provocative. Her family reports that she was beaten in custody and required hospital treatment.
