India is reportedly close to acquiring Israel's highly secretive Golden Horizon air-launched ballistic missile for integration with its Su-30 fighter fleet. If finalized, the agreement would mark the first export of the advanced weapon system, underscoring deepening defense ties between the two countries.
The missile is designed to strike hardened and deeply buried targets at hypersonic speeds, offering a potent long-range conventional capability. Its deployment would significantly enhance India's ability to conduct rapid deep-strike operations without resorting to nuclear options.
The potential deal follows Operation Sindoor and reflects India's increasing emphasis on strengthening its readiness for a possible two-front conflict. By adding a sophisticated air-launched ballistic missile to its arsenal, India would bolster its strategic deterrence and expand its conventional strike reach.
