The restrictive conditions placed on Tzachi Braverman, former chief of staff to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, expired at midnight on Tuesday after Judge Menachem Mizrahi of the Magistrate's Court did not rule in time on a police request to extend them.
With the restrictions lifted, Braverman is now permitted to travel and to have contact with Netanyahu, despite police concerns that such contact could potentially interfere with the ongoing investigation. Braverman is slated to serve as Israel's ambassador to the United Kingdom.
