Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi landed in Israel on Wednesday for an official visit, where he was welcomed at Ben-Gurion Airport by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife, Sara Netanyahu. The two leaders held a private meeting following a formal arrival ceremony, underscoring what Israel described as a close personal relationship that reflects the strong ties between their countries.
Modi is scheduled to address the Knesset after an official reception and will participate in an innovation event in Jerusalem alongside Netanyahu. The visit also includes a joint dinner hosted by the Netanyahu family.
On Thursday, the leaders will visit Yad Vashem and hold an expanded meeting in Jerusalem. They are expected to sign a series of agreements covering economic, security, and diplomatic cooperation, followed by joint public statements.
