Iranian media reported that President Masoud Pezeshkian is 'safe and sound' following speculation that he may have been targeted during recent strikes carried out by Israel and the United States on Iranian soil. The reports surfaced after unconfirmed claims suggested that his office had been among the potential targets.
The state-run news agency sought to dispel the rumors, emphasizing that the president was unharmed. The clarification came amid heightened tensions following the strikes.
Last year, Iranian media had reported that Pezeshkian sustained minor injuries when an Israeli strike hit a building in western Tehran while he was attending a meeting of the country’s supreme national security council. The earlier incident added to concerns about his safety during periods of regional escalation.
