A missile strike hit residential buildings in Beit Shemesh on Sunday afternoon, causing heavy structural damage, thick smoke, and widespread chaos. Emergency medical services dispatched large forces to the scene, where nine people were pronounced dead. Rescue teams searched damaged buildings and pulled survivors from the rubble as flames and debris filled the area.
A total of 46 injured people were evacuated to nearby hospitals. Among them were two in serious condition, including a 37-year-old woman with severe limb injuries and a 4-year-old boy wounded by glass shards. Two others were listed in moderate condition, while 42 sustained light injuries.
First responders described scenes of collapsed structures, shattered windows, crushed vehicles, and panicked residents fleeing damaged homes. Several victims were trapped under debris or locked inside rooms and were rescued with the assistance of firefighting crews. Medical teams established a triage point near the impact site and transported all casualties for further treatment.
