The Israel Defense Forces released video and images of a female Israel Air Force crew member preparing to carry out airstrikes on Iran as part of Operation Roaring Lion. Around 30 female aircrew members, including pilots and navigators, are taking part in the operation.
One combat navigator, identified as Maj. 'S', said the mission followed extensive preparation, including many hours of training and briefings. She described a strong sense of purpose upon takeoff, emphasizing that the mission is to defend their home and carries constant responsibility.
She also highlighted the extensive support network behind each sortie, noting the contributions of planning teams, command and control staff, technicians, intelligence personnel, and flight crews who enable the mission to be carried out safely and professionally.
In addition, the military published cockpit footage showing a pilot identifying and confirming a successful strike on a target in Iran during the operation.
