The United States has struck 1,700 Iranian targets within the first 72 hours of the ongoing conflict, according to an update from Central Command. The latest figure marks a sharp increase in the pace of operations, nearly doubling the number of targets reported the previous day.
During the first 24 hours, American forces hit 900 targets. That pace slowed in the second day, with the total rising to 1,200. However, the most recent update showed a significant escalation, with 500 additional targets struck in the third reporting period.
Officials have not clarified whether this wave of attacks represents the largest operation previously suggested by President Donald Trump or signals even broader action in the coming days. The strikes have reportedly focused on Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps command centers, naval assets, ballistic missile sites, and air defense systems, though specific details have not been disclosed.
