Israel evacuated staff from its embassy in Abu Dhabi and its consulate in Dubai on Tuesday using a special military flight. The aircraft received rare permission to land at Ben-Gurion Airport despite the ongoing closure of the country’s airspace to commercial traffic.

In addition to diplomatic personnel, the flight transported exceptional humanitarian cases. Among them were the body of a woman who died in the United Arab Emirates two days earlier and a 93-year-old Israeli woman.

The operation highlights the extraordinary measures taken to ensure the safe return of citizens and officials during a period of restricted air travel.
