Israeli fighter jets returning from strike missions in Iran are reportedly attacking additional targets in Lebanon before landing back in Israel. According to officials, the aircraft do not return with unused munitions after completing their primary objectives.
Instead, pilots receive new targets in Lebanon while already en route home. These targets are supplied within minutes by Israel’s Military Intelligence Directorate, allowing the aircraft to deploy remaining weapons before completing their missions.
As a result, a mission initially launched toward Iran can effectively expand to include strikes in Lebanon, with pilots assigned new objectives shortly before reentering Israeli airspace.
