Sky News has been named News Channel of the Year at the Royal Television Society Awards for the ninth consecutive year, with Yalda Hakim receiving Presenter of the Year. Yousra Elbagir was awarded Television Journalist of the Year for her reporting on the war in Sudan, while Mollie Malone was recognised as Emerging Talent of the Year for her coverage of prison safety and violence against women and girls. John Sparks won in the Digital Journalism category for his reporting alongside Ukrainian troops in areas targeted by explosive drones.
The network also received several nominations across political, specialist and international reporting categories, reflecting a broad range of journalism from global conflict coverage to in-depth domestic investigations.
