Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met in Paris with French President Emmanuel Macron, Lebanese President Joseph Aoun, and Prime Minister Nawaf Salam to address escalating tensions linked to Hezbollah attacks. Syria's interim president joined the discussions remotely as leaders focused on regional stability and security concerns.
Macron called for Hezbollah to immediately halt its attacks against Israel and elsewhere, warning that continued violence threatens the broader region. He also urged Netanyahu to respect Lebanon's territorial integrity and avoid launching a ground offensive, emphasizing the need for all sides to return to the existing ceasefire agreement.
The talks also addressed the growing humanitarian emergency in southern Lebanon. Macron pledged that France would take immediate steps to assist displaced اللبناني citizens and reaffirmed France's commitment to supporting the Lebanese Armed Forces and promoting long term regional stability.
