Hundreds of Israeli students have returned home after completing a journey to Poland that included a visit to Auschwitz. The trip back lasted more than twenty two hours and began with a nighttime bus ride from Krakow to Warsaw, followed by a flight to the Egyptian resort town of Taba and a final bus ride into Israel.
Education Minister Yoav Kisch said eight hundred and fifteen students were brought back through a complex operation carried out in recent days. He noted that despite a difficult security situation, education officials ensured that every student returned safely, praising both the teenagers and their teachers for demonstrating personal and national resilience throughout the journey.
