The Israel Defense Forces launched a new wave of airstrikes targeting Hezbollah infrastructure in Beirut, including the destruction of a rocket launcher used to fire at communities in the Galilee. The strikes followed multiple rocket barrages launched toward northern Israel earlier in the evening, marking a further escalation in cross-border hostilities.
Earlier, Israel said it had also struck 16 aircraft in Tehran belonging to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' Quds Force, alleging the planes were used to transfer weapons to Hezbollah in Lebanon. The developments come amid heightened regional tensions linked to the broader confrontation involving Iran.
Lebanon's social affairs minister reported that 454,000 people have registered as displaced this week as Israeli strikes continue, with around 100,000 sheltering in government facilities. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned the Lebanese government to enforce the ceasefire agreement and disarm Hezbollah, saying failure to do so would bring 'disastrous consequences' and urging leaders to 'take your fate into your own hands.'
