Exiled Iranian Crown Prince says regime is 'crumbling' after killing of Khamenei, other leaders

Exiled Iranian Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi said the Islamic Republic is 'crumbling' following military operations by the United States and Israel that resulted in the deaths of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and nearly 50 other regime figures. He described the moment as a pivotal opportunity for Iranians to return to the streets and reclaim their country.

Speaking during a television appearance, Pahlavi said only a complete break from the current system would be acceptable to the Iranian people. He called for a democratic transition led by a broad coalition, including figures inside Iran and members of the military, with the country’s future determined solely through the ballot box.

Pahlavi argued that democracy is the only sustainable and legitimate path forward, promising long term stability, protection of rights, and regional peace. He also said a democratic Iran would unlock major economic opportunities, estimating that the United States could see more than one trillion dollars in revenue over a decade if relations are normalized.

Living in exile since the 1979 revolution, Pahlavi has positioned himself as a unifying opposition figure and urged Western democracies to support the Iranian people’s right to freely choose their future government.
