Iranian media has claimed responsibility for a major strike on the headquarters of the United States Fifth Fleet in Manama, Bahrain, marking a sharp escalation in the widening regional conflict. According to the reports, missiles and Shahed-136 drones struck the naval base in the Juffair District, triggering a massive blaze.
The reports further allege that 21 American soldiers were killed in the attack, though the claim has not been independently verified. The headquarters plays a critical role in overseeing maritime security operations across the Persian Gulf and the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz.
If confirmed, the strike would represent one of the most significant direct confrontations between Iran and the United States in the current conflict, raising concerns about further military escalation in an already volatile region.
