Defense Establishment Investigates Leak of Iran Attack Date
Israel's defense establishment has launched an investigation into the leak of the date of the opening strike on Iran to Channel 12, Defense Minister Israel Katz revealed during a cabinet meeting on Tuesday.
The issue was raised by several ministers who questioned how such a serious security breach could occur without immediate and thorough scrutiny. Education Minister Yoav Kisch expressed alarm that the exact date of the attack had reportedly been known in advance by television staff, warning that the leak could have endangered the country and the broader military campaign.
Katz responded that the matter was not being ignored and confirmed that the head of security within the defense establishment had initiated an active investigation into the incident.
