A newly identified group called Harakat Ashab al-Yamin al-Islamia has claimed responsibility for a سلسلة of attacks targeting Jewish institutions across Europe, according to the Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism Ministry. The organization, whose name means 'The Islamic Movement of the Companions of the Right,' is believed to be linked to Iranian-backed terror networks and emerged publicly earlier this month.
The group said it carried out explosions and arson attacks between March 9 and March 14 in Belgium and the Netherlands, and also claimed responsibility for an incident in Greece. The attacks damaged synagogues and a Jewish school in cities including Liege, Amsterdam, and Rotterdam. Authorities reported property damage but no injuries.
The ministry warned that the incidents reflect a broader effort by Iranian-aligned networks to expand operations into European cities and intimidate Jewish communities. According to the report, the group operates through local cells directed from abroad and uses front organizations to obscure responsibility. Officials said the coordinated nature of the attacks suggests an ongoing threat and called for decisive international action against those exporting terrorism and antisemitism.
