Airline flyDubai cancels Israel flights to April 30 as foreign carriers extend suspensions

Airline flyDubai has canceled all flights to Israel through April 30 as the regional war continues to disrupt air travel. The decision comes amid ongoing security concerns and follows similar moves by several other international carriers suspending service to Tel Aviv.

The Lufthansa Group, which includes Swiss, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, EuroWings, and Lufthansa, has halted its Tel Aviv routes until April 2. Hungarian budget carrier Wizz Air has also delayed its return until at least April, while British low cost airline easyJet has suspended all Israel flights until the summer and does not plan to resume service before October.

Foreign airlines are currently unable to land at Ben Gurion Airport due to restrictions imposed by the Israel Civil Aviation Authority, along with warnings from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency and the United States Federal Aviation Administration about flying in the region. Although Israel’s Transport Ministry granted flyDubai special approval to operate rescue flights, the airline opted not to resume service, citing ongoing security threats, including recent attacks near Dubai airport.
