The Israeli Air Force carried out a strike on an intelligence command center in Tehran that it said belonged to the Iranian regime. According to the Israel Defense Forces, the facility was located within the same compound as Iran's national electricity company in the center of the capital.
The Israel Defense Forces said the Iranian regime routinely embeds military infrastructure within civilian areas. It described the targeted site as part of a broader pattern of placing command centers in densely populated environments.
Israeli officials identified the Ministry of Intelligence as the regime's primary intelligence body, accusing it of monitoring civilians, suppressing protests, and cooperating with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and other armed forces. They said the strike was intended to weaken the regime's operational networks and reduce its defense capabilities.
