Israel's public broadcaster Channel 11 will rerun the acclaimed drama series Tehran every night at midnight following its news magazine program. The series, a collaboration with Apple Television Plus, follows heroic intelligence agent Tamar Rabinyan, portrayed by Niv Sultan, as she undertakes dangerous undercover missions inside Iran.
The show, which won an International Emmy Award for Best Drama, centers on Tamar's efforts to sabotage Iran's air defenses to enable an Israeli strike on its nuclear program. A skilled cyber expert, she navigates constant danger while clashing with her handlers and evading pursuit by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps commander Faraz.
Across its seasons, Tehran explores different layers of Iranian society, from student dissidents to elite social circles and women's shelters, adding depth beyond a conventional spy thriller. The series features prominent international and Israeli actors and was co-created by Moshe Zonder, Dana Eden, and Maor Cohen.
