India has deployed additional warships to escort commercial vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz as tensions escalate in the region. The move comes amid heightened military activity and concerns over the safety of critical shipping routes.
Meanwhile, United States Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard told a Senate hearing that Iran’s government remains structurally intact despite ongoing strikes by the United States and Israel. She said that while Iran’s leadership continues to function, its conventional military capabilities and ability to project power have been significantly weakened.
According to Gabbard, the degradation of Iran’s military strength has left Tehran with fewer strategic options, even as regional instability continues to affect global trade and security dynamics.
