Sirens sounded five times within an hour on Thursday evening after missiles were launched from Iran toward Israel. Four alerts were activated in the Jerusalem and Sharon areas, while another was heard in Haifa and the Galilee. No injuries or direct impacts were reported in Jerusalem.
A missile fired toward Haifa was identified as a cluster missile, with shrapnel falling near an uninhabited structure in Kiryat Ata. Damage from shrapnel was also reported in Shfaram, though no injuries occurred.
Earlier in the day, a missile struck the oil refinery complex in Haifa Bay, sparking a fire that emergency crews worked to extinguish. Authorities said there were no hazardous material leaks and no injuries. Missile fire from Hezbollah in Lebanon toward northern Israel continued as well.
