Defense Minister Israel Katz warned that the coming week will bring a significant escalation in strikes against Iran, following a high-level security assessment with senior military and defense officials. He stated that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps currently controls Iran and is directing missile attacks and other hostile actions against Israel and countries in the region, while also repressing Iran's own population.

Katz said the intensity of strikes carried out by the Israeli military and the United States military against what he called the Iranian terror regime and its infrastructure will increase substantially. He emphasized that the campaign, led by United States President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, will continue.

According to Katz, Israel is determined to eliminate senior Iranian commanders and dismantle strategic capabilities that threaten Israeli and United States interests. He affirmed that both the Israeli military and the civilian home front are prepared, and pledged that operations will persist until all war objectives are achieved.
