Iran launched a cluster munition toward central Israel on Sunday morning, marking the start of the fourth week of Operation Roaring Lion. Several fragments were reported to have fallen in central areas, but no injuries were recorded, according to emergency services.
The attack followed a ballistic missile strike late Saturday night on a residential building in the southern city of Arad. At least 84 people were wounded in that strike, including 10 listed in serious condition, among them a five-year-old child. Nineteen people were moderately wounded, 55 sustained light injuries, and four were treated for anxiety.
Emergency medical teams treated more than 90 individuals at the scene in Arad before evacuating the wounded by ambulance and helicopter to Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba. Authorities said no one is believed to be trapped under rubble, though search efforts remain ongoing.
