Sirens sounded across central and southern Israel shortly after midnight on Monday following the launch of a missile with a splitting warhead from Iran. The missile was intercepted, and no injuries were reported. However, debris fell in several areas in central Israel, causing damage in Bnei Brak, Moshav Gat Rimon, and Petah Tikva.
Earlier on Sunday evening, sirens were activated twice in northern Israel due to additional launches from Iran. No injuries or direct impacts were reported in those incidents, though one missile is believed to have landed in Lebanese territory.
A military spokesperson said the past 24 hours had been complex due to continued fire from Iran and Lebanon. He stated that most incoming missiles have been intercepted, with more than 95 percent successfully stopped, though some interception attempts overnight were unsuccessful. Authorities said investigations are ongoing into the interception failures as military operations continue.
