OKCupid launches Hebrew version, with special personalization for traditional, orthodox Jews

Online dating platform OKCupid has launched a Hebrew version of its service, introducing locally tailored features to better serve users across Israel. The update is designed to reflect the country’s unique language, culture, and diverse lifestyles, offering a more personalized dating experience.

The new version includes expanded personalization questions that address users’ daily routines, traditions, and religious preferences. Among the additions are questions about how users observe Shabbat, their level of kosher observance, and how they define their religious identity, ranging from religious and traditional to secular or non-believer.

The company said the move reflects strong confidence in the Israeli market and aims to help users present themselves more authentically. Until now, the platform had only been available in English in Israel, with features similar to those offered in other Western countries.
