Iran intensified its offensive against Israel with a cluster munition strike targeting central areas near Tel Aviv, causing injuries and widespread panic overnight. A residential building in Bnei Brak was directly hit, leaving multiple civilians wounded, including a child and an elderly person, while sirens sounded across the region.
Israeli military officials reported that several incoming missiles were intercepted but warned that additional attacks could follow. Cluster munitions, which disperse multiple bomblets across a wide area, are considered especially destructive due to their broad impact zone and the lingering danger posed by unexploded ordnance.
Israel stated that it has carried out targeted strikes aimed at reducing Iran's missile launch capabilities. As cross border attacks from Lebanon also intensify, concerns are mounting that the conflict could expand into a wider regional war.
