A 14-year-old has been charged with spying for Iran after allegedly carrying out a series of tasks in exchange for cryptocurrency payments totaling about 1,170 dollars. According to the indictment, the case began in April 2025 when the teenager contacted an individual in a Telegram group seeking work and agreed to perform assignments for payment sent to a digital wallet.
Prosecutors say the boy spray-painted graffiti reading 'We are committed to the alliance' in multiple locations around Tel Aviv and on vehicles. He also allegedly filmed several-minute videos near Ichilov Hospital and in neighborhoods in Ramat Gan.
In addition, he is accused of recording footage of the Tel Aviv skyline and describing the location of the Kirya military headquarters. Authorities claim he carried out the tasks for the original contact and other agents connected to Iran.
