One month into Operation Roaring Lion, a new Maariv poll shows that the ongoing war uncertainty and lack of a decisive outcome against Hezbollah have not shifted the balance between Israel's political blocs. The coalition and opposition remain effectively unchanged, with the coalition holding 50 seats and the opposition 60.
Within the coalition, Likud dropped to 26 seats while Otzma Yehudit rose to 9, balancing each other out. In the opposition, Bennett 2026 held at 21 seats and the Democrats at 10, while Yashar! gained strength at the expense of Yisrael Beytenu and Yesh Atid. Several smaller parties failed to cross the electoral threshold.
A joint list led by Gadi Eisenkot and Naftali Bennett would become the largest party with more than 30 seats, though it would not alter the overall bloc alignment. In a direct comparison for prime minister, Eisenkot led Bennett with 32 percent support to 29 percent.
The survey also found growing public dissatisfaction with the government's handling of the war against Hezbollah, with 53 percent expressing dissatisfaction. A narrow majority reported satisfaction with the government's approach toward Iran, while 51 percent said they do not trust United States President Donald Trump to end the war with Iran in a way that preserves Israel's interests.
