Fast food chains in Israel are introducing special kosher for Passover menus and family activities in an effort to maintain consumer routines during the holiday. The initiatives aim to provide a sense of normalcy and brief respite for families during a tense period.
McDonald's Israel is offering a dedicated Passover menu featuring adapted versions of popular items such as the McRoyal and Double McRoyal served on kosher for Passover buns, along with specially coated nuggets and holiday adjusted kids' meals. The items will be available in restaurants and through delivery. The chain is also launching a digital mall based game called 'Scanning the Treasure,' where families can search for and scan codes to win prizes including gaming consoles and smartphones.
Burger King is similarly rolling out a kosher for Passover menu that preserves the taste of its classic offerings while adapting ingredients. Burgers will be served on potato flour buns suitable for those avoiding gluten, and chicken items will use matzah flour coating. The menu, available at selected locations, will include a range of burgers, chicken dishes, salads, kids' meals, and holiday specific sauces throughout Passover.
