A massive fire erupted at Kuwait International Airport after a suspected Iranian drone strike hit fuel storage facilities, sending thick black smoke into the sky and forcing nearly 58 hours of emergency response. Authorities confirmed the blaze has been fully extinguished and reported no casualties despite significant damage to key infrastructure.
Officials said multiple drones targeted the airport, damaging radar systems and fuel tanks. Kuwait's Civil Aviation Authority blamed Iran and allied armed groups for the हमला, describing the destruction as substantial.
The strike comes amid a widening regional conflict, with Iran expanding its aerial campaign beyond Israel to countries hosting United States military facilities. Recent attacks have also been reported in the United Arab Emirates and Oman, while Israel has conducted strikes in Iran and southern Lebanon. The escalating violence has disrupted major shipping routes, including operations near the Strait of Hormuz, raising concerns over regional stability and global oil supplies.
