The Israel Police announced a breakthrough in the investigation into the 2019 death of 18-year-old Evyatar Azarzar from Bnei Brak. A court has imposed a gag order on all details related to the new developments and the information that led to the progress in the case.
Azarzar went missing in December 2019 after he was last seen in the Ramat Gan area. Following three weeks of intensive searches, his body was discovered in a pit in an open field near the Morasha Junction by a volunteer searcher.
Initial findings at the time indicated that Azarzar had been shot in the upper part of his body and that his body remained at the scene for several days before being found. A motorcycle located nearby led investigators to suspect that the killing was connected to a criminal dispute.
