Israel Defense Forces troops located and destroyed a bomb-making laboratory in Tulkarm on Friday following intelligence information, the military said. The operation led to the seizure of a large cache of weapons and explosive materials.
Forces uncovered around 200 improvised explosive devices, including pipe bombs, fire extinguishers rigged to carry explosives, and large gas canisters that could be used as under-vehicle bombs against armored vehicles. More than 50 kilograms of improvised explosive material were also found at the site.
According to the military, the devices produced in the laboratory were intended for attacks against Israel Defense Forces personnel operating in Judea and Samaria, as well as for attacks targeting Israeli civilians. The laboratory had reportedly been active prior to the launch of ongoing military operations in northern Samaria.
