The Israel Defense Forces' Farsi-language spokesperson, Kamal Penhasi, released a direct message to the Iranian public questioning whether Ebrahim Zolfaghari, spokesman for Iran's security forces, is a real person. Penhasi suggested that Zolfaghari appears to be a product of artificial intelligence rather than a genuine military official and asked Iranians to provide proof of having seen him in person.
Penhasi questioned whether Iranian authorities are creating fictional figures to communicate with the public, raising doubts about the credibility of their messaging. Zolfaghari, a lieutenant colonel and spokesman for the Khatam al-Anbiya headquarters, has recently gained prominence through videos aimed at Israel.
Known for attempting to address Israelis in Hebrew, Zolfaghari has sought to mirror the communication style of Israel's Arabic-language military spokesman. He has issued strong threats against both Israel and the United States, positioning himself as a central voice in Iran's psychological messaging during heightened tensions.
