Israel Police arrested a rioter on Thursday evening after a disturbance on Yehezkel Street in Jerusalem escalated into violence. Officers from Israel Police and Border Police were deployed to the scene following reports of unrest.

During the protest, activists waved Israeli flags defaced with a swastika symbol in front of police officers. One individual reportedly waved the altered flag directly at an officer and spat on him.

The suspect attempted to flee but was quickly apprehended on suspicion of assaulting a police officer and taken in for questioning. Police said riot dispersal measures were used until the crowd was fully dispersed.
