An exhibition titled A Plate of Hope and Color opened in Tel Aviv on May 1, bringing together Jewish, Druze, and Arab artists from across Israel to support lone soldiers. The benefit event, organized in partnership with the Lone Soldier Center in Memory of Michael Levin, featured a gala evening attended by prominent artists, musicians, and former lone soldiers.
The exhibition showcases artworks created on white ceramic plates, chosen as a symbol of home and belonging. Representing a place at the family table, the plates highlight what lone soldiers often lack while serving without close family nearby. The pieces span a wide range of styles, including photography, drawing, and abstract and realist painting, reflecting both individual expression and a shared act of giving.
Proceeds from the week-long exhibition and online sales will fund programs supporting lone soldiers before, during, and after their service in the Israeli army. Participating artists, including some who served as lone soldiers themselves, described the project as a meaningful way to give back and send a clear message: 'You are not alone.'
