US District Judge Michael Farbiarz ruled that the Trump administration cannot use US foreign policy interests to justify the detention of Columbia University student Mahmoud Khalil, a pro-Palestinian activist. Khalil was arrested in March and has been held in immigration detention in Louisiana.
