Saudi Arabia has reaffirmed its position that normalization of relations with Israel is contingent upon the creation of a Palestinian state. Speaking at a United Nations conference focused on a two-state solution, Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan emphasized that only by addressing the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people to self-determination can sustainable peace and integration in the region be achieved.
Saudi officials have dismissed suggestions that they would accept less than a clear, irreversible path toward Palestinian statehood in exchange for normalizing ties with Israel. This stance contrasts with the current Israeli government's rejection of such a framework and its ongoing actions in the West Bank.
