UN says 1,373 Gazan aid seekers killed since late May, mostly by IDF

The United Nations human rights office reports that at least 1,373 Palestinians have been killed in the Gaza Strip since late May while seeking food aid. According to the agency, most of these deaths occurred near humanitarian aid sites or along food convoy routes, with the majority attributed to actions by the Israeli military. The Israeli military has stated that it uses warning shots to deter crowds but disputes the reported casualty figures and has not provided alternative numbers. The ongoing conflict and severe shortages in Gaza have made aid distribution perilous for civilians.
