An Israeli airstrike in eastern Lebanon has killed Mohammed Wishah, a senior member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, along with his bodyguard, as they were traveling toward Syria. The strike occurred near the Masnaa border crossing and reportedly resulted in six deaths and ten injuries, according to Lebanon's state-run news agency. The Palestinian group confirmed Wishah's death and highlighted his longstanding involvement, including years spent in Israeli prisons after joining in the early 1970s. The incident is part of a series of Israeli strikes targeting Palestinian and Hezbollah officials in Lebanon since the start of the Israel-Hamas conflict in October 2023. On Friday, another Israeli drone strike killed citizen journalist Mohammed Shehadeh, who was later identified as a Hezbollah member.
