IDF claims Al Jazeera journalist it killed, along with four others, was receiving salary from Hamas

The Israeli military has reiterated its claim that Anas al-Sharif, a journalist for Al Jazeera killed in a recent airstrike in Gaza City, was an active member of Hamas's military wing. According to the military's international spokesman, intelligence indicated that al-Sharif was involved with Hamas at the time of his death and received a salary from the group. The military also referenced documents published in October, which allegedly show al-Sharif's role in a rocket-launching squad and membership in an elite Hamas unit. Despite the controversy and international criticism following the strike, the military maintains its position but has not commented on the affiliations of the four other journalists killed alongside al-Sharif.
