Qatar reportedly paid around $10 million to several top advisers of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over a two-year period to enhance the Gulf nation's image, according to a report by Kan public broadcaster. The payments were made through Perception media, owned by Yisrael Einhorn, a former Netanyahu campaign adviser, with significant monthly sums directed to aides Jonatan Urich and Eli Feldstein.
The ongoing Qatargate investigation centers on suspicions that Urich and Feldstein committed multiple offenses related to their alleged work for a pro-Qatar lobbying firm, including contact with a foreign agent and corrupt dealings. Authorities are now expanding the probe to examine the business ties of former security officials with Qatar.
