Israeli security sources report that around 60,000 reservists will soon receive call-up orders for a planned military offensive in Gaza City. The orders, which will be issued starting tomorrow pending approval from the Defense Minister, will give reservists at least two weeks before they must report for duty. This new wave of call-ups is in addition to the tens of thousands already serving in the reserves. Not all of those called up are expected to participate directly in the Gaza City operation; some will be assigned to replace regular troops stationed elsewhere.
