Phirun 'Bom' Thanonphim, a 34-year-old agricultural worker from northeast Thailand, was killed during the Hamas attack on Kibbutz Nir Oz in Israel on October 7. He was among eleven Thai workers and one Tanzanian who lost their lives, with several others abducted. Phirun had moved to Israel in 2021 to work on a dairy farm, hoping to provide a better life for his family back home and fulfill his dream of owning his own cattle farm. His family, including his wife and three children, received his body for burial in late October, mourning the loss of a devoted husband, father, and son whose aspirations were tragically cut short.
