Behzad Ahmed Warsi's journey from a Karachi mechanic to an internationally exhibited artist began with a chance encounter in 2016. While sketching during a break at his workshop, Warsi caught the attention of Shahid Rassam, a renowned painter and art school principal, who offered mentorship and support. With Rassam's guidance, Warsi left the mechanic's shop, earned a scholarship, and completed his art diploma with distinction. Today, Warsi is known for his surrealist oil paintings that explore themes of war and emotion, with his works displayed in galleries across Pakistan and abroad. Now a teacher himself, Warsi reflects on how his passion for art transformed his life, turning grease-stained hands into those marked by vibrant colors.
